Do you enjoy visiting lectures or listening to authors read from and discuss the books they have written? Perhaps you have friends or family members who enjoy this, too. If so, take yourself on over to the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center to take in a reading. And you may even wish to bring along some of your own written work as well, for the open mic that follows.
What Is It?
This event is a reading by special guest Vikram Madan in collaboration with Redmond Association of Spoken Word (RASP). He is an artist and a poet, author of The Bubble Collector, which earned him the 2013 Moonbeam Award for Children’s Poetry. You will have a chance to hear him read and to learn a bit more about the man behind the writing. This event also includes an open mic session, which means you and your fellow community members will have a chance to read and share your own written work, as well.
When Is It?
This event will take place on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 7:00pm. However, you are encouraged to arrive a bit early if you would like to sign up for a spot in the open mic lineup.
