Your Concerns About Invisalign – Answered

Question/Concern: Will I be able to talk to people with my trays in my mouth?

Answer: Yes, you will not need to worry about the aligner trays interfering with your speech. When you first place them in your mouth, you may need to take a little time to become acclimated to the way they feel and the way they affect your speech. You will quickly become accustomed to your Invisalign trays for easy, comfortable verbal communication.

Question/Concern: Will I eat with my clear braces trays in my mouth?

Answer: No. You will not need to wear your trays while you eat. This is a major benefit of Invisalign treatment. Instead, you may take them out of your mouth to eat, to brush and floss your teeth, and for other reasons as you see fit. You may take them out of your mouth for approximately 2 to 4 hours each day.

Question/Concern: Is Invisalign treatment much more expensive than traditional braces?

Answer: No. In fact, the two are typically in line with one another when it comes to cost. You will likely find, as well, that if your dental insurance covers metal braces, it will likely cover clear braces, as well. However, we encourage you to speak with your insurance representative for specific information regarding costs and coverage.
